Worth at least $50,000/yr for most teams
Built by founders, for founders.
We started by claiming R&D credits for our own company in the US. Big firms wouldn't take our call. Our accountant wanted most of the credit as their fee. So we built software to do it better — and now we're bringing the same approach to Canadian SR&ED. Every dollar you've earned should stay yours.
Small teams deserve the same tax benefits as companies with $50K/year tax advisors.

We provide complete, transparent documentation — everything you need to file with confidence.
Your SR&ED credits are waiting.
The 18-month filing deadline is absolute. Miss it and credits are gone forever.
File within 18 months
SR&ED claims must be filed within 18 months of your fiscal year-end. Miss it and the credits are gone forever. The CRA makes no exceptions.
35% refundable cash back
Canadian-controlled private corporations get their SR&ED credits as a direct cash refund from the CRA — not a tax offset. Real money deposited into your account.
Every province stacks
On top of the 35% federal credit, every province adds more: Ontario 8%, BC 10%, Quebec up to 30%. Combined rates can exceed 60% of your R&D salaries.
Pre-revenue? Even better.
CCPCs receive fully refundable credits regardless of profitability. Zero revenue, zero profit — you still get the full cash refund.
Frequently asked questions
What is SR&ED?
SR&ED (Scientific Research & Experimental Development) is Canada’s largest R&D incentive program. It returns up to 35% of qualifying R&D salaries as a refundable cash credit — plus an automatic 55% overhead bonus and provincial credits on top. Most tech companies building software qualify.
I’m not profitable yet. Can I still claim?
Yes — and this is where Canada’s program really shines. Canadian-controlled private corporations (CCPCs) receive their SR&ED credits as a direct cash refund from the CRA, regardless of profitability. No profit needed. The government literally sends you a cheque.
It’s a small team. Is it worth it?
$170K in engineering salaries typically means a $90K–$110K credit depending on your province. That’s real cash back for a short call and a few file uploads.
What do I need to give you?
Two things: (1) Payroll export from your payroll provider. (2) Export from your project tool — Jira, Linear, Asana, etc. — or access to your Git repository if you don’t use a project tool (we’ll analyze your commit history and PRs). Takes about 10 minutes to set up.
What if I don’t use Jira, Linear, or a project management tool?
No problem — we can analyze your Git commit history and pull requests instead. For SR&ED purposes, Git history is strong contemporaneous documentation of your technical work, which is exactly what the CRA looks for. We’ll use your commits, branches, and PRs to build evidence-backed project narratives.
Will this trigger a CRA review?
The CRA reviews 20–25% of SR&ED claims. We build every claim with review-readiness in mind: contemporaneous documentation from your actual engineering tools, evidence-backed project narratives, and a review prep guide for your team.
What do you deliver?
A complete SR&ED study: Form T661 project narratives, credit calculations (federal + provincial), supporting workpapers, and a review prep guide — everything your accountant needs to file.
Why so much cheaper than other SR&ED consultants?
We built software to automate what traditional firms do manually. We analyze your Git history and project data to generate evidence-backed narratives — not reconstructed stories from interviews. Lower overhead, lower fees.
What if my credit is really small?
We’ll tell you on the free call. If it doesn’t make sense, we’ll say so. But even a solo founder with one engineer typically qualifies for $50K+ in Canada.
Can I claim previous years?
Yes, as long as you’re within the 18-month filing window from your fiscal year-end. This deadline is strict — the CRA does not accept late SR&ED claims. We’ll help you figure out what’s still claimable.
What about provincial credits?
Every province offers additional R&D credits that stack on top of the federal 35%. Ontario adds 8%, BC adds 10%, Quebec adds up to 30%. We calculate and include all applicable provincial credits automatically.
What happens if the CRA reviews my claim?
Most reviews result in the claim being accepted as-filed or with minor adjustments — no penalty. We prepare your team with a review guide so your engineers know what to expect. Penalties only apply in cases of deliberate fraud, not honest claims.
